Great news for all involved – the National Peanut Board: Peanuts – Energy For The Good Life campaign that I shot for Lawler Ballard Van Durand made it into this year’s Communication Arts Photography Annual!  As I’ve said here before, we couldn’t have done it with the awesome staff at LBVD – Steve, April, Gene and Rachel; hope we can do it all again sooner than later!  And, of course, the models – Beth, Jessica, Landon, Mike, Wayne, Emma, Eli, Madeline, Maya, Trevor, Rosanna, Porchea, Nyleta and, of course, Pete.  Thank you so much.  Click to experience.

The National Peanut Board campaign I shot for Lawler Ballard Van Durand continues to roll on through the web, popping up when least expected – most recently on the highly popular ‘cool internet’ art, photography & curiosity blog FFFFOUND!  Being a regular visitor to the site (which has the habit of being very addictive, you have been warned!) this was a particularly satisfying event.  Big thanks to Jeff Harter who spotted it first, and of course, Steve, April and Gene at LBVD for bring bringing me on board in the first place – let’s do it again, real soon!  Click the image to be taken to the actual piece!

Well this is exciting:  The recent National Peanut Board “Peanuts: Energy For The Good Life” campaign that we did with the fine folks at Lawler Ballard Van Durand has made it as a marquee exhibit on the Communication Arts website!  It was a great project and everyone from LBVD (April, Rachel, Gene and Steve) were not only easy to work with – but a lot of fun to be around.  The models were also fantastic, if it weren’t for their ceaseless efforts it would not have worked.  A big thanks to all involved!  Click the image below to check it out!

This guy could use some peanut power!

Here is one of three ads that we shot for Steve Saari of Lawler Ballard Van Durand and the National Peanut Board. Directed By Jason Maris. Camera by Jason Maris and Adam Boozer of Jewell & Ginnie. The music was produced by Bix Sigurdsson. The model is noted dancer, drummer and fight choreographer Chester Whitmore. The goal was to have a continuity of vision between the commercial spots and the print campaign.  I think we nailed it!

Alright!  Here’s the first installment of a fantastic and fun project that we did with Steve Saari (Creative Director), April Laws Harmon (Art Director) and Gene Powers (Art Director) of Lawler Ballard Van Durand (LBVD) for the National Peanut Board.  The whole job has been a real blast and a great experience and we hope to repeat this soon this year.  So what we have here is the first half of the print campaign (courtesy retoucher Brad Kaye) to be rolled out this coming March in magazines (Men’s Health, Shape and Oprah to name a few) and in public spaces all over the country.  We also did some television commercials so keep an eye open for those as well; more details soon.
